All About me

I’m Sally Rose

I’m 33 years old and living my lifelong passion of photography, working as a professional photographer in London. I’m originally from Nottingham, I moved to Cheltenham to study Photography, where I achieved a BA Honors 1st Class Degree. After that I headed straight to London to embrace the wonderful world of freelance photography – and I’ve never looked back! I love to travel – whether its a quaint little town in the UK or all the way to New Zealand. I love discovering new places!

When it comes to capturing your big day my aim is to provide you with beautiful photos that you can cherish forever, whilst at the same time making sure not to be too intrusive on the day. My style is relaxed, professional and colourful. I like to take a documentary approach and capture real moments as they happen, showing your friends and family truly enjoying your big day. Each wedding is unique and I love show this through my photography from the tiny details to the big moments!

Alongside photographing weddings…

I also shoot fashion & portraiture, working for a number of professional clients including Topshop, Harvey Nichols, Amazon, Net-A-Porter, Channel 4 & The BBC. I’ve also been honoured to win a couple of awards for my work, including two AOP Awards (Association of Photographers) and an NME Music Photography award. During my career, I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph some familiar faces – some of my favourites include Mary Berry, Paul Hollywood, Stevie Johnson, The Hairy Bikers & Jarvis Cocker.

Glastonbury

I’ve been going to Glastonbury ever since I was 18 months old – my dad used to have a stall there. I’ve been lucky enough to go over 20 times, although I recently missed a couple of years in order to shoot some weddings – that’s dedication!

Sunny Holidays & Travelling

I recently spent 6 weeks on my own in Australia. Whilst on my travels I couldn’t resist the temptation of my surroundings and wound up organising a few shoots. Such an incredible opportunity to shoot in exotic and rare locations couldn’t be passed up, I simply couldn’t help myself! Click here to see more images from this trip 🙂

Christmas

Despite chasing the sun most of the year, I absolutely love Christmas and all things festive (my favourite film ever is Home Alone). I hope to one day make it to Lapland and spend a night under the stars in a glass roof igloo. Mulled wine, celebrations and spending time with friends & family – what could be better?!

Tattoos

As you may have noticed from my picture, I have a few tattoos. Just like my photography these are full of colour! I love bright & beautiful things – most of my tattoos are pretty & girly and show the things I love. I have a Glastonbury tipi, a sunset beach scene and a Home Alone tattoo, oh and don’t forget the camera of course! 🙂

My Twin Nephews

How cute are they?!! I took this photo on their 2nd Birthday. Every year we do a little birthday shoot. I plan to do this until they are at least 18 – plenty of embarrassing photos to come!
