Rachel and Drew’s West Bridgford Registry Office wedding was a beautiful example of how elegant and relaxed a smaller ceremony can be. With just their closest family present, their day felt incredibly personal and full of joy.
Rachel is a talented hair and makeup artist who usually spends wedding mornings helping other brides get ready. For her own wedding day, she chose to step back and enjoy the experience, with close friends from the industry taking care of her hair and makeup so she could fully relax and enjoy the morning.
Rachel and I actually met working together on fashion shoots for brands like Speedo, Ellesse and Berghaus, so it was incredibly special to photograph such an important moment in her life.
Getting Ready in West Bridgford
The morning began at Rachel’s home in West Bridgford, where she spent a relaxed morning getting ready with family before the ceremony.
There was a calm and joyful atmosphere as the finishing touches were added before heading to the ceremony. Rachel wore a beautiful modern dress with elegant statement sleeves and delicate embellishment at the neckline, creating a timeless bridal look.
With the ceremony just a short journey away, the morning flowed naturally and unhurriedly before everyone made their way to the registry office.

The ceremony took place at West Bridgford Registry Office, one of the most popular locations in Nottingham for couples planning an intimate wedding ceremony.
With just ten guests present, the ceremony felt incredibly personal. Rachel and Drew exchanged their vows surrounded by their closest family, creating a warm and emotional atmosphere inside the ceremony room.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered outside the building for confetti and family photographs before Rachel and Drew took a few moments together for portraits.
Wedding Photos in West Bridgford Park
One of the things that makes getting married at this Registry Office so lovely is its location right next to West Bridgford Park.
After the ceremony, Rachel and Drew walked over to the park for some relaxed portraits among the trees and greenery. The park offers beautiful natural backdrops just moments from the ceremony venue, making it perfect for wedding photographs without needing to travel far.
They were also joined by their adorable dog for a few photos, which made the portraits feel even more personal and relaxed.
These quiet moments together gave Rachel and Drew a chance to enjoy the first few minutes of married life while we captured some natural and joyful portraits.
A Classic Bentley Wedding Car
After the ceremony and portraits around the registry office, Rachel and Drew stepped outside to their beautiful black Bentley waiting at the front of the building.
The elegant car made the perfect backdrop for a few final photographs outside West Bridgford Registry Office, before they headed off to continue celebrating with family.
Rachel couldn’t hide her excitement as she jumped into the car, creating one of my favourite moments of the day.
