Trinity Buoy Wharf Wedding Photographer
The Chainstore wedding venue at Trinity Buoy Wharf is one of my favourite venues in London to photograph at! Warehouse wedding venues like this one are so full of character and so unique – it even has a lighthouse! The chainstore has loads of space too which is perfect for my natural and relaxed style of photography. I love being able to photograph candid shots of wedding guests truly enjoying themselves and Trinity Buoy Wharf gives me the space to do this. Not to mention is has incredible views of Londons skyline.
1. The Location & Surrounding Area
The Chainstore is located in East London in the famous docklands alongside the river. It has stunning views of the River Thames and the city of London. The 02 sits directly across the river and makes for an incredible and iconic london backdrop to your wedding. Along with this, Trinity Buoy Wharf also features Londons only lighthouse which obviously makes for an amazing location for some creative couple photos.
Being situated next to the Jubilee Pier means you can also choose for you and /or your guests to arrive by boat! If that’s not a cool way to arrive at your wedding then I don’t know what is!
The Chainstore located in an industrial area full of shipping containers – check out Container City to see more. And also features an authentic American Diner cafe! Seriously can this place get any better?
There are so many cool spots for wedding photos around this area. It’s perfect for couples who are looking for something a bit different and unique.
2. The Chainstore History
Trinity Buoy Wharf is ran by Urban Space Events who also look after both The Chainstore & The Electricians Shop.
The Chainstore is the bigger of the two venues and is a Grade 2 listed building with really high ceilings and surrounded by tall brick walls. It was built in 1854 and features Londons only lighthouse which over looks stunning city views of the River Thames and London. The lighthouse is available for couples to take wedding photos in too. This awesome wedding venue is so full of character and makes for a really unique london wedding!
3. Blank Canvas
Warehouse wedding venues tend to come as a blank canvas, which is great for couples looking to put their own stamp on their wedding day. Trinity Buoy Wharf offers you lots of opportunities to get creative. This industrial space can be decorated and styled however you like and means that every wedding is completely unique. From metal light up letters to colourful lanterns and DIY decorations. Anything goes! I love seeing the personal touches couples add to their weddings and always make sure to capture those details.
4. Dry Hire Wedding Venue
Trinity Buoy Wharf is licensed for music, alcohol, performance, films and dance until 1am. It is also licensed for wedding ceremonies. This is great as it means you can make the most of every moment of your wedding day without travelling between venues. Which can take up a lot of time, especially in London!
Being a dry hire venue also means you can bring in your own suppliers without having to stick to a structured supplier list provided by the venue. This is a great way for you to again make your wedding unique and make it completely to your taste. You can also bring in your own alcohol without any corkage fees! This is a great way to save some money whist having that incredible bar you dreamed of!
5. It’s a Huge Space and includes an outdoor alfresco drinks area.
The Chainstore can hold between 300 and 600 guests! (If you’re planning to have 600 guests I might have to insist you book my second shooter package!) Wow that’s a big wedding!
I love the versatility a big space offers. It also means your guests won’t feel cramped into a tiny space and will be able to move around and socialise with other wedding guests much easier. The large entrances also allow for vehicles to be driven into the space if required.

6. The Staff
Warehouse wedding venues, such as Trinity Buoy Wharf are ran by wedding specialists. They don’t operate as hotels, so there aren’t random people coming in and out of your venue; you have exclusive use of the entire warehouse! The staff at Trinity Buoy Wharf are focused on making sure every wedding they host is perfect for the couple and for your guests. They host so many weddings here, they’ve gotten pretty damm good at it! They also offer wedding planning services for a variety of budgets!
