Natural Wedding Photographer
Harry and Olivia’s riverside wedding took place at The Oyster Shed located right on the Thames river bank in East London. As a wedding photographer I tend to spend a lot of my time out in the countryside, in beautiful gardens or grand stately homes. All of which are amazing to photograph but sometimes it’s nice to be amongst the hustle and bustle of a city. To feel the excitement in the air as couples jump into taxis to make their way to the ceremony, to hear passers by call out well wishes. There’s a real buzz to it!
I love shooting relaxed and happy couples and this is exactly what I got! Their choice of pub wedding venues fitted well with the relaxed and fun vibe they wanted for their wedding day. I had so much fun photographing this wedding!

Westminster Wedding Photography
The day started at The Westminster Arms, a classic London pub. Harry was in his element, surrounded by friends and greeting family with a hug and a huge smile. From there it was a short stroll to the absolutely beautiful St Margaret’s Church, set in the grounds of Westminster Abbey.

As everyone gathered in the church Olivia arrived in a white London taxi and walked down the aisle. Harry and Olivia touched hands, smiled away at each other and shared laughter with their guests. It was lovely to be a part of their wedding ceremony.

Natural Light Wedding Photographer
Harry and Olivia walked out of church to the cheers of their loved ones. Both were smiling from ear to ear and their grins only got bigger as they made their way through a cloud of bubbles. (confetti isn’t allowed at a lot of venues, so it’s always worth checking this beforehand. Bubbles are a great alternative!)

The Oyster Shed Riverside Wedding Reception
With huge windows, a riverside location and stunning views of London The Oyster Shed is a fantastic place to celebrate and host your pub wedding. Olivia and Harry had kept their wedding decor minimal and contemporary. Guests were seated on brightly coloured chairs, the walls were adorned with photos of the couple and each table had an animal theme.

London City Couple Portraits
I love shooting weddings at The Oyster Shed not only because of it’s huge windows letting in loads of lovely natural light. But also for it’s incredible views on London! It’s sat right on the river bank directly in front of The Shard. Obviously I couldn’t resist doing some couples photos in front of a view like that! My favourite moments to capture are the ones of real laughter or personal moments between the couple. It was very windy on this day at The Oyster Shed, however with a bit of patience we got some lovely wind free portraits as well as some beautiful shots where the wind caught the veil as they walked along the riverbank.

After a short stroll along the riverside for photos Harry, Olivia and I made our way back to the party, it was time for speeches! These were as touching, hilarious, raucous and emotional as I’d expected. What wonderful family and friends these two have!
