Intimate Wedding Photography
I photograph weddings in a natural, colourful and relaxed style and whilst I’m regularly booked up a year or so in advance I always love the chance to photograph a last minute, intimate wedding. The Old Marylebone Town Hall is the perfect venue for such a wedding. As Shusmita and Rodrigo were planning their day in three weeks, they really were the definition of last minute! What a beautiful wedding they planned though and it was a real pleasure to be their wedding photographer.
Their select wedding guests had flown in from around the world, namely Mexico and Asia, so this wedding was the perfect chance for the two of them to show off London in all its glory. I’m a huge fan of the city’s historical town halls. Dotted all around London they’re all unique in style and make such a great location for an intimate civil wedding ceremony.

The Old Marylebone Town Hall in Westminster is no exception. This Grade 2 listed building has seen thousands of weddings take place over the years, including Sir Paul McCartney’s, and is deemed one of the most popular wedding venues in the country! It’s not hard to see why, it’s beautiful to look at and inside it’s steeped in history.

Westminster Room Wedding Ceremony
Shushmita & Rodrigo chose to get married in the Westminster room. This is the largest room with seating for 100 people, however even for more intimate weddings like this one it’s still a great space. It has beautiful wood panelling and has a luxurious and warm feel to it.

Shusmita looked amazing in her trouser suit and Rodrigo couldn’t stop beaming throughout the short ceremony. They stepped out of the town hall to cheers from their guests as a traditional Mexican Mariachi band played in the sunshine.

A fantastic mariachi wedding band awaited the happy couple upon their exit from The Old Marylebone Town hall. This was such a lovely surprise for the guests and fitted in perfectly with Rodrigos family being from Mexico.

Bluebird, Chelsea wedding
After a short stroll through the streets of London for some couple photos, we headed to the Bluebird in Chelsea for their wedding reception. I’ve never been here before but I’d love to go back, the food looks incredible and I love the styling throughout the restaurant. It’s seen as an iconic landmark in the area and I can see why they chose to celebrate their wedding reception there. As an added personal touch they had caricatures drawn of all their guests as place settings. She’d even had one done of me! Thank you so much!

“Sally was absolutely fantastic from the time I contacted her to the delivery of our wedding photos. We had to plan our impromptu ceremony in 3 weeks so it really helped when Sally responded to all queries so quickly although I knew how many destination weddings she was covering then. On the day her approach was so relaxed which in turn helped my husband and I to be completely relax. She was also so discrete while taking photos that she managed to get many candid shots! Never knew I could look good while crying. All the guests loved their pictures as well! Sally was also flexible with the hours so that made things a lot easier on the day. She is everything you need all the wedding vendors to be: responsive, understanding, organised and mostly importantly extremely talented at what she does.”
