Kent Wedding Photography
I’m so excited to be sharing Penny and Ben’s unique funfair wedding at Marleybrook House today – colour, balloons and a vintage funfair! I love photographing fun weddings and capturing the excitement of wedding guests. Photographing real moments and true laughter is one of my favourite things to do. I hope that these photos will bring smiles to anyone looking at them 🙂
I really enjoyed photographing this unique Marleybrook House wedding and I think it’s clear to tell from the photos that it was a super fun wedding to attend too! I think we all need a bit of happiness right now and this is the perfect antidote!
Unique Funfair Marleybrook House Wedding
Marleybrook House is a unique wedding venue in Kent – it’s classically beautiful with a slight twist. Hidden away in the grounds is a vintage funfair! It’s incredible fun and Penny and Ben’s guests were amazed when the couple surprised them by announcing the rides were open!
Set across ten acres of grounds Marleybrook House is a super fun venue with plenty of outdoor space for ceremonies. It has a stylish feel with a touch of quirkiness. Exactly what Ben and Penny were looking for.
It’s been so hard whittling down this blog to a few favourites but I think I’ve managed it. Phew!

Outdoor Garden Wedding Ceremony
I started the day with the girls, Penny had opted for a pale pink colour scheme and she looked beautiful in her By Pronovias dress. The weather was perfect which meant that they were able to have the outdoor ceremony they’d been dreaming of. Their guests gathered in the gardens while Ben enjoyed a pre-ceremony pint with his friends but before he knew it, it was time to get married! As he waited nervously at the head of the aisle. Penny and her bridesmaids, along with her very proud Dad, made their way towards him. There were huge smiles on everyone’s faces but none bigger than the one on Ben’s when he saw his bride!

Penny and Ben both said the ceremony was a bit of a blur, it always is! There’s so much to take in and you’re a real mix of nerves and excitement. They took themselves off for a celebratory drink together straight after. I always recommend taking some time out, just the two of you, at some point in the day. It’s the perfect way to have a moment to yourselves and take in what is going on.

Unique Funfair Wedding
The rest of the day passed in a blur of laughter, confetti, hugs and fizz. As well as some very funny speeches. Then it was time for the big surprise of the day – the funfair! Penny and Ben led their guests down the secret pathway to reveal the rides. Swings, dodgems, a carousel, I was in my element and the guests were having a whale of a time!
If you’re planning your own funfair wedding then I highly recommend checking out Marlybrook House. The funfair is included in the hire so you don’t need to worry about hiring rides separately. It’s all part of the package! Perfect for a fun wedding in Kent.

I can’t wait to photograph more weddings at this super fun Kent wedding venue, it’s so unique and I had the best time photographing Penny & Ben’s big day. I’d love to hear from you if you’re planning a wedding at Marleybrook House . Please use my contact page to get in touch.
