If you’re planning your Greenwich Yacht Club wedding and are looking for a relaxed & professional wedding photographer then you have landed on the right page! I was so happy when Lara & Kirk asked me to be their official wedding photographer and I was even more excited when they told me we’d be taking a boat trip for some extra special wedding photos!
This wedding was all about fun, which allowed me to capture lots of great natural moments – my absolute favourite way to shoot. Alongside this I was also able to get creative with all the different areas and unique places for couple photos.
Greenwich Yacht Club – The River Rooms
Greenwich Yacht Club Wedding Venue offers 2 different venues. The Clubhouse & The River Rooms.
The River Rooms is the yacht clubs most popular wedding venue space. Raised up from the boatyard it offers beautiful views of the river and thanks to the floor to ceiling windows it also allows for an abundance of natural light (A wedding photographers dream!)
The surrounding balcony allows for both you and your guests to fully enjoy the view and even get some scenic photos. This venue is also comprised of a main hall, lounge bar and outdoor terrace – again a great spot for wedding photos 🙂
A Boat Trip along the Thames!
With maritime connections in the family it was important to capture some wedding photos in front of The National Maritime Museum. For this Lara and Kirk opted for a boat ride direct from the venue, which I have to say was lots of fun!
Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park
The Greenwich Peninsula Ecology Park is located next to The Greenwich Yacht Club, this makes it an ideal location to nip away to for some extra couple photos.
Ecology Park contains two freshwater lakes surrounded by marshland, a small alder woodland and is home to a fascinating array of wildlife.
The Boat Yard
The boat yard makes for a great and unique location for both couple photos and group photos.
