I love a relaxed and creative weddings and from the moment Chell told me that she and Ben were planning a 1920s Great Gatsby themed vintage wedding at Woodhall Manor I was so excited to photograph it. I knew it was going to be a visual treat and I couldn’t wait to see what they had planned! I love capturing all the details wedding couples put into their wedding day. It’s so lovely seeing all their hard work come together and I love being able to capturing this for them!

Vintage Bride Styling

The two of them had worked so hard on the 1920s theme for their wedding. Chell’s Jenny Packham dress is one of the most beautiful gowns I’ve seen and she looked incredible in it. Ben’s suit fit in perfectly with the gold accents that they’d put throughout the day. The bridesmaids all wore gold, sparkly 1920’s flapper style dresses along with stunning jewellery.

Woodhall Manor Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Woodhall Manor was the perfect venue for their vintage Great Gatsby themed wedding day. The gardens are so romantic and made for a stunning backdrop for Ben and Chell’s outdoor ceremony. As a wedding photographer I LOVE outdoor ceremonies. So much natural light and plenty of space to move around 🙂

Woodhall Manor Wedding Photographer

The Elizabethan manorhouse at Woodhall was a great setting for Ben and Chell’s couple photographs. Not only is the building beautiful, but the grounds are stunning as well! We spent some time taking relaxed couple shots around all the different spots the wedding venue had to offer. As well as taking relaxed and natural photographs of the two of them around the grounds we also decided to get creative in the Manor.

Creative Wedding Portraits

These two are so gorgeous and I knew they would be up for trying out some creative and dramatic photo portraits in a more 1920s style. We used the bar area within Woodhall Manor for a few bridal party photographs before everyone left us to get some couple photos alone. Well, alone except for a fabulous gramophone we made sure to include!

Great Gatsby Themed Wedding Styling

The 1920s styling didn’t stop at clothing (although I love that the guests got in on the act and they all looked amazing)! Everyone was given a bottle of ‘moonshine’ on their table and the cake was a beautiful, art deco extravaganza. The reception room was a real feast for the eyes, it glittered and sparkled from top to bottom! I made sure to photograph all those little touches they’d clearly spent lots of time on!
