The Granary Estates Wedding Photography
As I wedding photographer, I get to photograph weddings at lots of different types of venues and really love the variety. I’m excited to share this barn wedding at The Granary Estates today that I photographed last summer. I was really happy when Jen and Mick said they wanted to hired me as their wedding photographer. My style of photography is relaxed and natural which fits in well with a barn wedding! I love that barn weddings often involve lots of time outside as it gives me a good opportunity to capture vibrant documentary images of wedding guests having fun whilst stood in gorgeous natural light. I also love rustic barns like this one as they are full of texture and interesting details 🙂
Friendly Female Wedding Photography
I don’t think there’s a bigger honour than a fellow photographer asking you to take their wedding pictures! Jen and I studied photography together at university and she’s now a professional food photographer. Take a look at her stunning work (www.jenrich.co.uk) but I warn you, you’ll leave her website craving cake and all manner of sweet treats!
These two have been together for over a decade (it was about time you guys tied the knot!) so all their friends and family are well acquainted which made for a really enjoyable atmosphere
The Granary Estates Cottages
The Granary Estates cottages are perfect for getting ready, they are spacious, light and airy so ideal for me to take photos! Located super close to the wedding venue and surrounded by cornfields they are really picturesque too, not to mention peaceful! There are 3 double bedrooms perfect for the bride and groom and some of your closest friends or family.

The Granary Estates Wedding Venue
This beautiful rustic venue lies on the Suffolk and Cambridge border. The 18th century, flint walled barns are surrounded by picturesque cornfields which made the perfect backdrop for the couple portraits. It’s such a lovely barn venue with plenty of nooks and crannies for wedding guests to explore. Barn wedding venues like the Granary Estates are often popular for DIY weddings too as the venue is a blank canvas that can be dressed up or down, depending on your desired wedding style. I’d highly recommend it if you’re on the hunt for your own rustic wedding venue.

Laid Back & Relaxed Wedding Photography
The happy couple had planned a relaxed and very laid back wedding day, my absolute favourite type of wedding to photograph and it suited them down to the ground. These two are so down to earth and they were keen to hold a big celebration, full of laughter, with their loved ones. It was so lovely to be able to capture this day for them. I think one of my favourite parts of the day was when the three of us took a stroll down to those aforementioned cornfields. The sun was shining, the happy couple were on cloud nine and I loved getting the chance to take such important photographs for good friends.

It’s such a joy to photograph a wedding for a good friend and it was great to be able to catch up with all my old university mates over the wedding breakfast.

The Granary Estates Fun Wedding Reception
Now these two love to party, they booked an amazing band called The Milestones. They were fantastic and kept everyone on their feet all night. I was even told to put my camera down and join in for a little boogie too!

“We have known Sally, and her work, for quite a few years and as soon as we got engaged we knew that we wanted her to photograph our wedding. Sally was brilliant from start to finish, promptly answering all of our questions as we were planning and she made us feel so relaxed on the day. Sally captured so many lovely candid shots as well as the group photos we’d planned, somehow managing to be in the centre of the action yet so discreet that we barely noticed she was there. We received our beautiful photos, in a lovely presentation box, so quickly and were totally blown away. We can’t recommend Sally highly enough, she’s absolutely ace! Thank you Sally, you’re the best! x”
