Brighton Wedding Photographer
I love shooting natural and relaxed weddings so when Rebecca and Andrew got in touch saying they were planning a laid back summer garden wedding in Brighton and wanted me to be their wedding photographer, I couldn’t have been happier! I love to show off peoples personality through candid and documentary style images, whilst keeping my photos vibrant and full of life! This is exactly how I think of Brighton! it’s such a cool city bursting with personality and individuality 🙂 It’s the perfect place for a wedding celebration!
Brighton Unitarian Church Wedding
Rebecca and Andrew’s wonderfully laid back summer wedding began at Brighton Unitarian church. A light filled space with such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I can see why Rebecca and Andrew chose to have their wedding ceremony there.
It was a beautifully warm day. Andrew waited outside the church greeting guests who gathered on the steps. Making the most of the sunshine and blue skies!
Rebecca arrived in a classic VW campervan. Very fitting for Brighton! As she made her way down the aisle both her and andrew were beaming. There was non stop smiles throughout the ceremony.
The ceremony was lovely, full of laughter and emotion. I loved the personal vows that Andrew and Rebecca read to each other before lighting a unity candle together.
They emerged from the church into a cloud of colourful confetti and to cheers from their guests before jumping into the campervan to head to their garden party wedding reception.
DIY Garden Wedding Reception
Queens Hall is in the centre of the pretty village of Ruckfield. A victorian building with huge windows and a small, but perfectly formed, garden . They’d gone all out with the decor. From wheelbarrows filled with beer bottles to a “disco hut” complete with glitter ball, colourful bunting and ribbons. It looked like the perfect DIY garden party.
The day was so relaxed and laid back. Everyone enjoyed drinks in the garden before making their way into the large airy hall for dinner and a dessert buffet, always a hit!
After some hilarious speeches (I spotted a few people actually crying with laughter!) it was time for the disco. The garden was filled with people dancing away until the band took to the stage and the hall’s dancefloor became the place to be!
