Alternative Wedding Photographer

I love shooting bright and vibrant weddings however sometimes its nice to do something completely different! And this wedding couldn’t be more unique! I love getting to photograph at unusual and alternative venues and this one is exactly that! This vintage wedding at the Asylum Chapel really did take my breath away!

Ella is an old friend of mine and so when she got in touch asking me to be her wedding photographer I was even more excited than usual. I knew Ella would do something unique for her wedding and I knew it would be absolutely stunning! I wasn’t wrong!

The Asylum Chapel Wedding Photography

Ella & Daniel chose The Asylum Chapel ran by Maverick projects to host their wedding ceremony. The ceremony itself was an intimate relaxed wedding with just 45 close family & friends. The Asylum is a beautiful, rustic church and was decorated with incredible floral and candle arrangements to complement the decaying beauty of the surroundings. This unique wedding venue is located in Peckham, London. Perfect if your looking for a South East London wedding venue.

Vintage Styling

Ella looked so good in a stunning, off-the-shoulder, Liz Martinez wedding gown paired with vintage Yves Saint Laurent wedding shoes and a vintage 1930s headpiece and veil. Her look was finished off with a slick of dark red lipstick and a statement Ersa Atelier overskirt for the ceremony.

Shoreditch Townhouse Wedding Reception

The reception was held at Shoreditch Townhouse with a larger crowd of 160. Their first dance was ‘I’ve Got A Crush On You’, a Gershwin ballad sung by Frank Sinatra – This was the song Daniel sung to Ella when he proposed.

“Sally is friendly, patient and calm which was just what you want the morning of your wedding!
Sally is super hard working and is always thinking about how to get a great shot. Sally has the balance between being very discreet while all the time being in the middle of the action, which we found invaluable throughout the day. We had a small ceremony and a big party and she managed to work with both of these very different atmospheres and captured the growing ambiance perfectly.

I would highly recommend using Sally as your wedding photographer.
She is easy to communicate with via email, always getting clear and quick responses before and after the big day. Her process is thorough and well thought out, she has a form that you fill in before the wedding day which makes the running of all formal shots very smooth.

We can’t Thank You enough Sally! Keep up the amazing work! You’re a Star! “
