Relaxed & Friendly Wedding Photographer
I have a relaxed and friendly approach to photographing weddings and my style is natural and colourful. This is perfect for rustic barn wedding venues like Long Furlong Barn in the countryside. The courtyard and surrounding fields means guests can relax and socialise, whilst I can photograph lots of candid moments that really capture your wedding guests enjoying themselves.
Long Furlong Barn: Winter Wedding Ceremony
Bryan and Jessica met through their church and their community came together during the ceremony with some wonderful gospel songs. It was great to hear and so brilliant to photograph such an animated service. The sound of everyone’s voices coming together in song gave me goosebumps. Ceremonies like this aren’t something I photograph every day and it felt so special to be a part of it.
Long Furlong Barn Wedding Venue
Once the ceremony was over we all returned to Long Furlong Barn for the celebrations. The Barn is tucked away in the Sussex countryside, just 4 miles from Worthing, and is the perfect venue for a winter wedding – the two interconnecting barns mean that everyone can stay nice and warm, without having to venture outside. However, Bryan and Jessica struck it lucky with the weather. Even though it was chilly the skies were a beautiful blue and they, and their guests, made the most of Long Furlong’s South Facing courtyard.
Filipino Fusion wedding
A fusion wedding is a bit of catch all term for when multiple traditions and cultures are honoured throughout the day. Bryan and Jessica both have Filipino heritage so were excited to incorporate some of their traditions. I love it when couples adapt their weddings to bring in traditions and stamp their own personality on the day. Plus it’s so interesting to see how other cultures celebrate marriage. They brought in The Candle, Cord and Veil during the ceremony and, later on, I loved watching the Money Dance. The male guests lined up in front of Jessica and, after pinning money onto her dress and veil, danced with her. Then the roles switched and all the women pinned money on Bryan and danced with him. It was so much fun to photograph!
I had such a hard time choosing my favourite photos from Bryan and Jessica’s day, there was so much going on!

Long Furlong Barn FAQ
What hotels are nearby Long Furlong Barn?
Selden Farm, The Highdown and Findon Manor are all under a 10 minuet drive away from the venue. Angmering Manor Hotel is just 6 mins away and includes the use of a swimming pool and also has beauty treatments on offer. Perfect for a pre-wedding pamper! (or post-wedding to help soothe that hangover!)
Can I have an outdoor ceremony at Long Furlong Barn?
Yes! The Furlong View is an outdoor area overlooking the South Downs National Park. The ceremony arch is placed so that your guests will be wowed by the stunning views. The Cartshed will still be available for you as a backup option in case of bad weather.
How can I keep warm during my winter wedding at Long Furlong Barn?
The Cartshed ceremony room includes heating should you need it for your winter wedding. You could also hire heated lamps for the courtyard and have some blankets available for guests to use. Other winter wedding ideas could be to give hand warmers as wedding favours, swap the champagne for mulled wine or my best advice would be to get the party started early! Nothing like a good old dance to keep you warm.
